Villanova University Lauds the Contributions of Accomplished Nursing Educator Dr. Ruth McDermott-Levy to Its BSN Completion Program Online

U.S. News#1-ranked Villanova is proud to have longtime faculty member Ruth McDermott-Levy, PhD, RN, as an instructor for its BSN completion program online. An Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, Dr. McDermott-Levy’s subjects include community and public health nursing, adult health nursing and home care. She holds a BSN from Wilkes University, an MSN and PhD from Villanova, and is pursuing an MPH from University of Massachusetts. 

In the RN to BSN program, Dr. McDermott-Levy teaches Imperatives for Global and Public Health, examining factors that influence the health of communities and populations on a local and global scale. This 100% online course explores epidemiological data, as well as environmental, social, cultural, ethical and genetic factors to identify the nurse's role in population health.
