The University of Scranton Offers Two Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarships for Master’s in Education Offered 100% Online

The University of Scranton, a U.S. News & World Report-ranked, regionally accredited university, is partnering with University Alliance, a division of Bisk Education, to award two first-time online master’s in education applicants with scholarships for the Special Summer 2012, Part B session. These scholarships for teachers are valued at $339.75 per course and will help outstanding educators earn a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction or Master of Science in Educational Administration.

Scholarship awardees will continue to receive their reduced tuition rate through graduation as long as they remain in good academic standing. The current value of the scholarship for Curriculum and Instruction students is $4,077 and $4,417 for Educational Administration candidates.

“We are proud to honor gifted educators and provide them with the opportunity to excel in today’s academic environment,” said W. Jeffrey Welsh, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Education at The University of Scranton. “Our Curriculum and Instruction program is designed to help teachers hone valuable skills that strengthen their classroom techniques, while the Educational Administration degree prepares educators to move into administrative roles.”

The University of Scranton’s online courses are powered by University Alliance technology featuring video-based e-learning that enables students to work at their own pace with no campus visits required. The video-based e-learning platform features the flexibility and convenience of 24/7 access to 100% online virtual classrooms with professor-led, video-based lectures, live chat rooms, email and discussion boards. There has never been a better time or more convenient way for busy working teachers to pursue their advanced degrees.
