The University of Scranton Names Scholarship Recipient for 100% online MS in Education Programs Facilitated by University Alliance

The U.S. News & World Report-ranked The University of Scranton, in collaboration with University Alliance, congratulates Courtney Dillon as the winner of the Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship for the Special Spring 2014 Part B session. Applications from prospective students are now being accepted for the upcoming session.

Dillon has earned a reputation as a responsible, dedicated and caring teacher to the middle-school students in her special-education math class. As an educator, she continuously proves her commitment to connecting with each student to ignite their interest in learning. Dillon’s efforts motivate students to excel in the classroom and keep them excited to attend school every day.

Previous supervisors commend Dillon’s professionalism and dedication to her students’ success, describing her as self-motivated, creative, intuitive and fair-minded.

Each year, The University of Scranton will award eight scholarships to first-time students in its online Master’s in Education program. The scholarship will provide winners with a quarter of the tuition cost for either the Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction or the Master of Science in Educational Administration.

The video-based e-learning platform is powered by University Alliance, with streaming and downloadable lectures, professor-led interactive discussion boards and online chat rooms.
