The University of Scranton Announces The Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship for 100% Online MS in Education, University Alliance Reports

The University of Scranton is collaborating with University Alliance, a division of Bisk Education, to award two first-time applicants to its Master of Science in Education online programs with scholarships for the Special Summer 2014, Part B session.

The University of Scranton, a regionally accredited institution ranked as a top regional university by U.S. News & World Report, is pleased to announce the availability of two Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarships for its Master of Science in Education programs.

Students in the Master of Science in Education program may choose to pursue a degree in Educational Administration or in Curriculum and Instruction. Both degree programs are 100% online. Each is designed to develop the skills of working teachers committed to enhancing their expertise to meet the needs of today’s ever-changing classrooms.

“At The University of Scranton, we are proud to support committed educators and grant them the opportunity to further develop skills in their chosen field,” said W. Jeffrey Welsh, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Education. “Those who pursue a degree in Educational Administration will graduate prepared to take on administrative roles, while those who study Curriculum and Instruction will develop skills they may use to strengthen their teaching techniques.”

The scholarship will be awarded to two recipients for the Special Summer Part B session. Each scholarship has a value of $363.75 per course, which represents 25% off the current tuition price. The award amount is based on the 2014-2015 tuition rate of $1,455 per three-credit graduate-level course. Scholarships will be applied to every course the recipient takes through graduation.

The University of Scranton’s Master of Science in Education programs are powered by University Alliance, a leading facilitator of e-learning. The programs feature professor-led video-based lectures, discussion boards, live chat rooms, email, MP3 and MP4 lectures. On-campus attendance is not required, so students can learn at times that best suit their schedules.
