New England College Named a Military Friendly School by Military Advanced Education

New England College (NEC) has once again been recognized as a military friendly school by Military Advanced Education,a national publication for education services officers and transition officers in the U.S. armed forces.

NEC’s listing in the 2013 Guide to Military Friendly Colleges & Universities is based on its commitment to active-duty servicemembers, veterans and their families in four areas: Financial Assistance; Flexibility; Support Services; and Military Culture.

NEC provides significant financial assistance to active-duty military, spouses and dependents, including a special tuition rate of $750 per 4-credit course for its in-demand undergraduate degree programs offered 100% online. The 4-credit courses mean first-time students can graduate with a bachelor’s degree in as few as 28 months.

Additionally, the flexibility and 24/7 access offered by the online programs allow servicemembers to balance their studies with deployments and family responsibilities.

“The college is honored to have been one of a select group of schools in New Hampshire and in the region to be named a Military Friendly School,” said Dr. Philip Cate Huckins, Director of Veterans Services at New England College. “We are more honored to have the opportunity to help bring to fruition the dreams of those who have done so much for us.”

Founded in 1946 to meet the educational needs of World War II veterans, NEC provides an array of military-related benefits, including:

New England College has been listed in Military Advanced Education’s Military Friendly Guide since 2010, and recently was named to G.I. Jobs’ list of Military Friendly Schools® for 2013, the fourth straight year it has received that honor.
