New England College Alumni Network with Upcoming Graduates, Reports University Alliance

Moving from a college classroom to a professional boardroom isn’t always easy, but hearing directly from peers who successfully made that transition can only help.

That was why New England College alumnus Dan Lynch, Class of 1985, initiated a day of networking and career information for upcoming graduates so they could ask questions and participate in interview scenarios with established business professionals already working in Boston, MA.

“We are at a point in our careers where we can really appreciate how critical our New England College education was to our foundation,” said Lynch, Senior Vice President at Naxtis Global Asset Management, and a member of the NEC Board of Trustees.

Four alumni lent their time and expertise to the participating students. The daylong event included tours and presentations with hands-on interaction between the alumni and upcoming graduates.

For students such as Raymoan Clay, a business major, the opportunity struck home. “Dan Lynch offered to help me with industry exams and certifications, which I know I will benefit from immensely,” Clay said.

“We are thrilled that our students had this networking opportunity,” New England College President Dr. Michelle Perkins said. “This is another example of the school’s commitment to using experiential learning that goes beyond the traditional college education for both our campus-based and online programs.”

Perkins also praised the school’s collaboration with University Alliance and the outstanding support it provides to students.
