The University of Scranton Offers Scholarships for New Students in MS in Education Programs

The University of Scranton is accepting applications for the Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarships for the Special Spring 2013, Part B session. Scholarships will be awarded to two new students enrolling in the U.S. News & World Report-ranked university’s Master of Science (MS) in Educational Administration program or MS in Curriculum and Instruction program, both offered 100% online.

Each scholarship provides a 25% savings on tuition through graduation if the recipient remains in good standing in the online degree programs.

“As reflected by these scholarships, we have long been dedicated to supporting the professional development of outstanding teachers,” said W. Jeffrey Welsh, PhD, Dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Education at The University of Scranton.

The university’s 100% online degree programs are powered by University Alliance, a division of Bisk Education. The professor-led, video-based e-learning system is tailored to the busy schedules of educators.

The scholarship application deadline is Feb. 17, 2013. Among other eligibility requirements, applicants must have a bachelor’s, master’s, specialist or doctorate degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA from a regionally accredited institution.
