Jacksonville University Accepting Applications for Online RN to BSN Scholarship for Spring Sessions

U.S. News & World Report-ranked Jacksonville University is now accepting applications for its Online RN to BSN scholarship for the Spring 2014 sessions. Registered nurses who are new students in Jacksonville University’s RN to BSN online degree program should apply for a scholarship by the Spring I December 18th deadline or Spring II February 17th deadline.

The scholarship will provide a first-time student with tuition savings of 25%, up to a maximum of $3,575, for online RN to BSN nursing courses through graduation. To be eligible, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4.

Andra Opalinski, director of RN to BSN Programs at Jacksonville University School of Nursing, said the scholarship demonstrates the university’s commitment to nurturing the professional growth of talented registered nurses.

“We are honored to support dedicated RNs in reaching their educational goals and developing sought-after skills,” said Opalinski, PhD, ARNP-BC, CEN, CNE.

Powered by University Alliance technology, the online RN to BSN degree program is designed to allow busy RNs to balance their professional demands with attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Streaming video, live chat rooms, message boards and a 100% online classroom are among the features of the degree program.

One scholarship will be awarded for the Spring I session, which is scheduled to begin Jan. 6, 2014. One scholarship will be awarded for the Spring II session, which is scheduled to begin March 3, 2014.
