The university’s online nursing program’s long history began with the launch of the RN to BSN degree in 2001. Since then, thousands of students have pursued a degree and graduated with JU online. As the number of online RN to BSN students grew, JU recognized the need to respond to the increasing demands for master’s-prepared RNs. In 2010, the university launched its campus-based Master of Science in Nursing programs online, offering two specializations – Nursing Education and Leadership in Healthcare Systems. These degrees not only allow JU BSN graduates to continue graduate studies online, but they also allow nurses to access CCNE-accredited programs no matter where they live.
