Jacksonville University’s Online RN to BSN and MSN Degree Programs Prepare Nurses for Advancement in Fast-Growing Field

Featuring the convenience of a 100% online classroom, U.S. News & World Report-ranked Jacksonville University offers RN to BSN and MSN online degree programs that are the ideal option for talented nurses who have resolved to advance their careers in the rapidly growing healthcare industry in 2014.

Employment of registered nurses (RNs) is projected to grow by 26% through 2020, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Meanwhile, the Institute of Medicine recommends that 80% of nurses nationwide should have a bachelor’s degree by the end of the decade.

Jacksonville University’s online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree programs are designed to allow busy professionals to balance work and home life while attaining highly respected educational qualifications. Students in the MSN program can choose a specialization in Leadership in Healthcare Systems or Clinical Nurse Educator.

The degree programs, which are taught in eight-week sessions, are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). RNs with an active license in the United States are eligible for 30 credits and may transfer up to 60 credits. (Transferable credits must be from a regionally accredited institution and meet Jacksonville’s prerequisite credits.)

Powered by University Alliance technology, the online degree programs feature professor-led, video-based lectures, live chat rooms and message boards.

“The start of a new year is a perfect time for nurses to boost their skills and knowledge, and the JU School of Nursing’s online degree programs offer a quality education in a flexible format,” said Adrian Marrullier, Executive Vice President of Enrollment Services and Marketing for University Alliance.

RNs can visit www.jacksonvilleu.com or call 855-300-1472 to get started on advancing their credentials. The application deadline for the Spring II, 2014 session is Feb. 18, 2014.
