Grants Make Jacksonville University’s Nursing School Affordable for Florida Residents

Financial concerns don’t have to stand in the way of nursing school dreams for Florida residents considering 100% online classes at Jacksonville University.

The U.S. News & World Report-ranked university not only offers a CCNE-accredited RN to BSN program with 100% online courses, it also provides access to needs-based grants that lessen financial burdens for incoming students. To offset educational expenses, Jacksonville University students are eligible to apply for the Florida Student Assistance Grant (FSAG) and the Florida Resident Access Grant (FRAG) programs.

“Our goal is to reduce the barriers that often prevent students from enrolling in degree programs,” explained Carla Fry, Director for the RN to BSN completion programs at Jacksonville University. “While our online program eliminates obstacles such as class scheduling and commuting, the FSAG and FRAG programs, in addition to our RN to BSN scholarship, help overcome the financial burdens that make pursuing higher education difficult for some.”

Success coaches are also available throughout a student’s educational experience to ensure successful completion of the RN to BSN program.

“Regardless of financial situation, our program representatives are here to walk students through the entire process to help them find the right grant, loan or scholarship to fit their circumstance,” Fry said. “They also help students file the correct forms, get enrolled in classes and much more. It’s our honor to help every student achieve educational success. The first step in the process is helping to remove the barriers that might stand in their way.”
