The University of Scranton, a U.S. News & World Report-ranked university, has again been recognized as one of the “Top Producers of U.S. Fulbright Students.”
The regionally accredited university joined 20 other prestigious universities on The Chronicle of Higher Education’s list of “Master’s Institutions.” It is the ninth straight year that The University of Scranton has garnered national distinction for its success in producing Fulbright scholars.
Five University of Scranton graduates were honored with Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards for the 2013-2014 academic year. This program is considered to be the U.S. government’s foremost scholarship program. Selected from among more than 9,000 applicants, the honorees will study, teach and conduct research in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
“We are delighted to congratulate our latest Fulbright scholars as they pursue their professional goals at home and abroad while serving others through volunteer work,” said W. Jeffrey Welsh, PhD, Dean of the College of Graduate and Continuing Education.
The university’s renowned graduate programs in education include a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Science in Educational Administration, both offered 100% online.
