Florida Tech’s Online Programs Ranked Among Best by U.S. News & World Report

Florida Institute of Technology’s online bachelor’s degree programs have been ranked among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report, which has consistently named Florida Tech a Tier 1 Best National University.

Florida Tech also was ranked among the 2015 Best Online Bachelor’s and MBA Programs.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated online bachelor’s programs at hundreds of schools based on four categories: student engagement; faculty credentials and training; peer reputation; and student services and technology. For online MBA programs, a fifth factor was also measured: admissions selectivity.

Florida Tech offers more than a dozen bachelor’s degree programs 100% online, including Accounting, Applied Psychology, Aviation Management, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems and Criminal Justice/Homeland Security.

At the graduate level, students can choose from among 11 Master of Business Administration degrees offered 100% online, with specializations including Accounting, Finance, Information Technology Management, Internet Marketing, Management and Project Management.

Florida Tech’s online degree programs, which are powered by Bisk Education technology, feature downloadable, professor-led video lectures that can be accessed 24/7 via desktop, laptop, or mobile device. They are designed for busy professionals seeking to earn in-demand degrees from a regionally accredited and world-renowned university.

“Throughout its history, Florida Institute of Technology has been defined by a spirit of innovation and excellence, and our 100% online degree programs reflect that tradition of ‘High Tech with a Human Touch,’” said Brian Ehrlich, Associate Vice President of Online Learning at the Melbourne, Florida-based university.

“We’re honored that U.S. News & World Report has once again recognized our commitment to supporting the academic and professional advancement of adult learners,” Ehrlich said in a statement.

In announcing its annual rankings, U.S. News & World Report noted that “completing a four-year degree online may be the most practical way [for working adults] to obtain the knowledge and credentials needed to boost their careers.”

On average, American workers with a bachelor’s degree will earn at least $1 million more than high school graduates over their working lives, according to a 2014 report by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
