Dominican University Offers Two Scholarships for New Students in 100% Online Master’s in Education Program

Dominican University, in partnership with University Alliance, a division of Bisk Education, announces the availability of two scholarships for teachers pursuing a Master of Arts in Education online. The U.S. News & World Report-ranked and regionally accredited Dominican University will award two exceptional educators with a total of $11,160 toward tuition.

Coupled with the convenience of Dominican’s 100% online virtual classrooms, the Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarships help gifted educators gain vital and tangible skills to incorporate into their classrooms. Each scholarship represents 33% of current tuition price.

“Dominican University is very pleased to be able to support the academic and professional goals of accomplished educators and we look forward to helping encourage their continued success,” said Colleen Reardon, EdD, Dean of the School of Education.

Powered by University Alliance’s technology, Dominican’s online courses feature video-based lectures and 24/7 access, making them an ideal fit for busy working teachers.

Scholarship applications are being accepted through Oct. 7 for the Fall II, 2012 session. Candidates must be first-time applicants to Dominican’s online MAEd programs in Elementary Education, Reading or English as a Second Language. In addition, they must demonstrate that they have made a positive impact on others, and have a bachelor’s, master’s, specialist or doctorate degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA from an accredited institution.
