Dominican University Awards Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship to Online Master of Arts in Education Student

Dominican University, a U.S. News & World Report-ranked and regionally accredited university, in partnership with University Alliance and Bisk Education, would like to congratulate Victoria Raddatz, the Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship recipient for the Spring I, 2012 session.

Ms. Raddatz, a teacher at Round Lake Middle School in Round Lake Heights, Illinois, is enrolled in the online Master of Arts in Education in Elementary Education at Dominican University. After helping her brother overcome a learning disability, Ms. Raddatz was inspired to become a teacher and make a difference in the lives of children. “I have never given up on my brother, and I approach each child I teach in the same manner.” By treating her students with “kindness and respect” while setting “clear expectations and boundaries,” Ms. Raddatz is able to show them that they can be successful – both in math and in life.

“We would like to commend Ms. Raddatz for her dedication and hard work,” said Colleen Reardon, EdD, Dean of the School of Education for Dominican University. “Dominican University is proud to honor such an outstanding educator and help further her continued success.”

Dominican University and Bisk Education support exceptional educators with scholarships to help further their education by earning a master’s degree in elementary education, reading or English as a second language. Dominican University’s 100% online master’s in education programs, powered by University Alliance technology, provide students with the convenience and flexibility of 24/7 access to courses.
