New England College Designated a Top Military-Friendly University by Military Advanced Education

In recognition of its commitment to active-duty servicemembers, veterans and their families, New England College has once again been named a Top Military-Friendly University.

Military Advanced Education (MAE) considered numerous factors in compiling its 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities, including online learning options, credit transfer policies, and reintegration and other services offered to military and veteran students.

“We believe the Guide serves as an invaluable tool for both education services officers and transition officers when advising servicemembers about their educational opportunities,” said Kelly Fodel, MAE’s editor.

New England College (NEC) provides numerous benefits for active-duty military, spouses and dependents, including a tuition rate of $750 per 4-credit course, and special savings of 10% for veterans, their spouses and their dependents for its 100% online undergraduate degree programs. NEC also evaluates transcripts and may give credit for military experience and training. Servicemembers can temporarily exit and re-enter the online program without penalty if duty calls.

Powered by University Alliance technology, and featuring professor-led, video-based lectures, the online programs include: AA in Liberal Studies; AA in Business Administration; BA in Business Administration, with optional concentrations in accounting, computer science, management, and marketing; BA in Criminal Justice; BA in Psychology; and BS in Healthcare Administration.

NEC is “proud of its long history of meeting the educational needs of our nation’s heroes and their families, and is delighted to again be honored as a Top Military-Friendly University,” Director of Veterans Services Frank Hall said.
